Reginald Alfred “Reggie” Bush II, born March 2, 1985, is a professional football player who played running back, punt returner and wide receiver with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.  “My main motivation is to bounce back harder and stronger than ever before. That’s my job; that’s what I do. I play football. And when I’m done with this game, I want to be known as one of the best who ever played this position”, Reggie Bush said to freeworkoutguides.  With that, Reggie Bush goes on to receive multiple awards, becoming the first Trojan since Anthony Davis in 1974, to be Walter Camp Player of the year award finalist and MVP. His athleticism and physique also helped him win the Heisman Trophy in 2005.

How does Reggie Bush keep himself physically fit to be at the top of his game?  What does it takes to be a football superstar?  As we all know, being an athlete and a football player is not just as simple as exercise and diet.  They work their asses off undergoing rigorous fitness training and exercise programs.

Fitness Training and Exercise with Gaines

Fitness training and exercise aren’t enough for an athlete to avoid injuries.  In 2007, Reggie Bush suffered a knee injury, affecting his career, stats and team.  It took years for him to recover.  His desire to beef up and fully recover led him to the Elite Athletic fitness training facility, owned by Billy Miller.  There, Reggie Bush worked with professional fitness trainer, Travelle Gaines, who was Elite’s Director of pro athlete development.

Before starting his strength exercise program, Gaines’ exercise allowed his upper-body muscles to fire up as fast as possible.  Gaines’ Prehab fitness training and exercise prepares his upper back, shoulders, traps and chest so he can tackle effectively.  Gaines also focuses on Reggie Bush’s rear shoulder because in football, many players acquire shoulder injuries and Reggie Bush needs to be strong during and after his exercise and fitness training.  Gaines provides him abs exercise, oblique training and core exercise not only to develop his core strength and stability but also to give him a better foundation because if he wants to be a great athlete he needs to have a phenomenal core.  Gaines’ resistance fitness training and total body exercise helps him improve body control and will definitely help him overcome tacklers.

Gaines was pretty amazed by Reggie’s dedication to his fitness training and exercise program. Gaines describes him as a goal-oriented person because after their fitness training and total body exercise, he stayed for another hour to do his own personal exercise.

r1Fitness: Fre Flo Do

What fitness training and exercise program are best for a football player?  Well, simple fitness training and exercise aren’t enough; they need to have the most advanced fitness training and exercise programs.  Reggie Bush found a regimen that could benefit him, an exercise program that is designed for most athletes.  Fre Flo Do (Free Flow Dough) was developed by Kappel LeRoy Clarke and all exercise takes place on a Launchpad, an exercise equipment created by Clarke.  Imagine a treadmill with no digital display and hand support but rotates.

Fre Flo Do is very challenging exercise that help athletes to improve focus, equilibrium, agility, strength, coordination, balance and  mental capacity to remain active in unfamiliar situation.  The primary objective of this exercise is to let the athlete land on the pads of their feet instead of their heels.  This exercise isn’t designed to help athletes get stronger and prevent injury but for them to control and understand their body.  This martial arts-inspired fitness program of Clarke focuses on core balance, injury prevention, spatial awareness and mind-body enhancement.

As a football player, you really need to be aware of your fitness training and exercise programs because some fitness training and exercise programs can’t provide the results that we want.  That’s why Reggie Bush is very active in improving his fitness training and exercise programs because of the benefits that he can get from these.  Reggie Bush is not the only one engaged in these fitness training and exercise programs, but some professionals, athletes, dancers and many more. This is because of the unique, effective and fun ways to achieve the best physical and mental readiness through these programs.
