<p>Reginald Alfred “Reggie” Bush II, born March 2, 1985, is a professional football player who played running back, punt returner and wide receiver with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.  “My main motivation is to bounce back harder and stronger than ever before. <p>To perform in the Octagon takes explosive power, agility and fitness that allows you to recover fast after taking your heart rate into the red zone. It’s either that or your opponent will see an opportunity to take you down and choke you out or decorate your face with bruises. <p>Eric William Dane, born November 9, 1972, is an American actor. <p>On Season 9 of DWTS, Donny was one of the contestants who, as witnessed by many, melted right before their eyes while dancing their hearts out on stage and danced he did all the way to the very top, making him the 9th celebrity to win the coveted mirrorball! But here’s something only a few knew, Donny Osmond was the only contestant on DWTS who still continued to work while he was on the show! He’s certainly a very busy man and with his recent weight loss success, is he about to give his sister Marie Osmond some competition?</p>
<h2>His Amazing Weight Loss Journey</h2>
<p>Donny Osmond is certainly an already fit and trim man but like so many other stars who’ve joined Dancing with the Stars, he admits that he had an amazing weight loss while on the show – at least 20 pounds! The winning finalist told US Magazine after winning the competition, “My weight loss is incredibly amazing! At least twenty pounds! I weighed myself last night. Every part of my body hurts, especially my broken toe, but that’s alright – I got the mirrorball!”</p>
<p>Donny’s weight loss diet plan is very balanced. His weight loss diet plan consists of predominately lean meats, fruits and veggies, and the occasional protein shake diet supplements when’s he’s in a hurry. One of his weight loss tips? Don’t drink caffeine or alcohol!</p>

And this is with the help of Las Vegas fitness trainer Adam Gentz, General Manager of the Strength Center Larogs Vegas. “Health and wellness are very important to me, Adam’s knowledge of personal fitness training exercise program helps keep me in the best possible shape.  I’m keeping up with kids half my age on Dancing with the Stars.”</p>
<p>So what did fitness trainer Gentz do for Donny’s fitness exercise program? Gentz developed a high intensity, dance specific, workout. Gentz also developed a fitness exercise program specifically for Donny that consisted of explosive plyometric exercises (that would have the respect of any professional athlete) focusing on core strength exercises, balance exercises, and footwork exercises. His personal fitness trainer, Gentz, said “While he was competing on DWTS, Donny also traveled to continue to perform for his Las Vegas show at the Flamingo hotel, he recorded a new solo album, and he’s also working on his first album with Marie for the first time in over 30 yrs!”</p>
<p>Aside from keeping a disciplined physical fitness training exercise program and living an active lifestyle, Donny also exercises a positive outlook in life. “Donny’s a positive person. He’s surrounded himself around with the nicest people. As those close to him call it, “Team Donny” is the best,” his fitness trainer Gentz describes. And after winning the Discoball trophy Donny exclaimed breathlessly, “I’ve done a lot of things in my career and this will rank right as one of the top!”<br />

According to his fitness trainer, Marvin Jones, Levi Johnston’s fitness training exercise program has been designed to make him look defined and toned, but not overly muscular.<br />
“I didn’t want to give him a body builder’s look. The fitness training goal was to be more toned and more defined,” Marvin said. “I put him on a fitness exercise program that specifically targeted the shoulders – to give them a rounder, more muscular look with a fuller chest. And also part of the fitness training goal for Levi was to firm up his abs and give him a smaller waist.”<br />
Levi Johnston was so committed to his fitness training exercise program that he reportedly got sick during the second week of his fitness training exercise program. But despite this, his fitness trainer, Marvin Jones said that even though Levi’s fitness exercise program is quite strenuous, his client had been very eager to achieve his fitness goal and he had fun doing it too!<br />
And sure enough, when the much awaited cover shoot of Levi Johnston on Playgirl came out, all his hard work and dedication to his diet plan and fitness exercise program paid off and could be very well seen on the inside pages of the magazine as Levi bared it all for Playgirl Magazine.<br />

<p>Russell Crowe is not only known for his great acting ability but also for his ability to gain or lose weight for his specific roles.   Russell Crowe was recently chosen to play as Robin Hood in the upcoming movie Robin Hood to be shown in May 2010.  With that role Russell Crowe needed to lose weight, and shedding at least 50lbs is not that easy.   Russell Crowe had to do exercise and fitness trainings to reach that goal, so as to appear as how Robin Hood is physically perceived.<br />
Before filming Russell Crowe did intense exercises like cycling, boxing, weights and yoga.  “When filming I exercise three hours a day on the weekends.” Russell Crowe said to Entertainment Tonight.</p>
<h2>Fitness and Weight Loss Training</h2>
<h3>Biking</h3>

<p>When we think of Tennis, the first name that pop in our mind is <strong>Rafael Nadal</strong>.  Not only because he is great in sports but also, he is famous for his physique and people often wonder, “What kind of fitness and exercise training he does to have that amazing body.”   Well, he must have the best fitness training and exercise.  Okay, it may not be the best, but it sure works.</p>
<p>Born in June 3, 1986, this Tennis icon from Spain took the world by storm when deemed as a pro-Tennis player at the age of 15.  Since then he’d been winning non-stop.  Here is how he gained an amazing stamina for the game and a body that everybody would die for.</p>
<h2>Fitness Routine</h2>
<p>Rafael Nadal is not a gym fan, and he only does weight training in minimum amount.  But he does his fitness and exercise trainings mostly in court.  One exercise that he does for four hours each day is shuttle run.   This exercise improves speed, agility, power, and strength.   This is one reason why Rafael Nadal has an amazing leg power.</p>
<h3>The Shuttle Run Drill</h3>
<p>1. Set up markers (such as cones) 25 yards apart.<br />
2. Make sure you are warmed up, or add this drill to the end of an easy jog.<br />
3. Sprint from one marker to the other and back. That&#8217;s one repetition.<br />
4. Do 6 repetitions as fast as you can (that&#8217;s 300 yards).<br />
5. Time your result for the entire 6 repetitions.<br />
6. Rest 5 minutes.<br />
7. Repeat the drill.<br />
8. Add the times for each run together and divide by two to find the average time. [<br />
9. Record this time.<br />
10. You can use this test monthly to track your progress over time.</p>
<p>To give you an idea of what your results means, the top West Point men score 52 seconds, and women score 58 seconds. (reference: US Military Academy Admissions ). Their maximum acceptable time is 65 seconds for men and 79 seconds for women.</p>
<p>The shuttle run is an easy way to add some high intensity drills into a basic exercise program while you build speed, stamina and endurance.</p>
<p>Rafael Nadal also hired a fitness trainer to help him with his exercises, fitness trainings and stretches especially when he was diagnosed with tendinitis in 2009.</p>
<p>Another fitness training he does is bicycle manoeuvre.  This exercise not only strengthens the core muscles but also improves the appearance of the abdomen.  This exercise is good for anyone who is into sports and also to those who want to lose weight to prepare their body for the summer.</p>
<h3>Bicycle Manoeuvre Exercise</h3>
<p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-5753" style="margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;" title="rafael-nadal" src="http://www.howcelebsgetfit.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/rafael-nadal.jpg" alt="rafael-nadal" width="298" height="352" />Lie flat on the floor, contract your abdominal muscles and try to maintain this tension all throughout the exercise.  Put both hands behind your head without interlacing your fingers.  Relax, avoid chin tucking as this prevents neck strains.  Lift your legs up and bend your knee into a 90-degree position.  Bring your right elbow towards your left knee while your right leg extends and lowers and vice versa, as if your legs were cycling.  Repeat this exercise between 16-24 times.</p>
<p>Aside from the Bicycle Manoeuvre exercise, Rafael also does Aerobics training.  If the previous exercise is great for toning your muscles, this exercise is amazing for fitness and weight loss.  Before aerobics exercise, our bodies have stored carbohydrates, and this exercise is going to burn all that.  This exercise does not only helps you lose weight but it also helps you use oxygen efficiently which is very good for the heart.</p>
<h3>Health Benefits of Aerobics Exercise</h3>
<p>Aerobics exercise, also known as Cardio exercise helps the lungs work harder allowing your body to get enough oxygen.  Another thing that this exercise is good at is, it’s great in helping you lose weight.  Because this intense exercise requires a lot of calories, therefore creating a calorie deficit in the body.  Together with a low calorie diet, aerobics exercise will help anyone, lose weight easily.</p>
<p>The best thing about Rafael’s fitness training is he is being guided by the same fitness trainer.  Someone who knows his capacity.  Someone who can give him the right exercises and fitness training without compromising his health condition.</p>
<p>During tennis pre-season, he does intense exercises, but during the season, he focuses more on cardio exercises.  Apart from his fitness trainer, he hired an expert to help him with his stretches during his exercise and fitness trainings, this way not only his career is protected but his health as well.</p>

<p>When it comes to his diet, the 23-year old tennis pro is not really that particular, unless he is playing.  That is when he avoids heavy foods, but even he is munching on chocolates, he still burns those calories.  So whether it’s important to him or not, weight loss is inevitable.</p>

<p>What does it take to become an MMA fitness trainer?  Kevin Kearns, a black belt at 13 and now a successful fitness trainer, established his own company and created his own fitness training and exercise programs using all the knowledge that he had learned from school.  He is also the person behind the success and fitness trainings of MMA fighters like Kenny Florian, Marcus Davis, Jorge Gurgel and Alberto Crane.<br />
His first fitness career started at Boston Athletic Club after he got his degree from the University.  His personal fitness training career took off after he set up and supervised his own Fitness Connection Gym and exercise center in Brookline Massachusetts in 1990, and a new company Be Physically Fit in 2006.</p>

The magician who has been dubbed the post modern Houdini says doing what he does takes a lot of discipline specially in terms of having a fitness exercise training program to follow. After all, getting run over by a steamroller while lying on a pile of broken glass is no easy feat! On his fitness exercise routine, Angel says that it’s all about the whole package: mind, body and spirit. When he’s doing his fitness exercise workouts, he visualizes what he wants to look like. He mentally sees his muscle grow.</p>
<p>Aside from having a successful show on A&amp;E: Criss Angel: Mind Freak, the magician is also set to star in a new Cirque du Soleil production at the Las Vegas’ Luxor Resort and Casino. It’ll be the sixth Vegas-based company of the famed French-Canadian circus, but the first to be built around a single headliner, which is reflected in the show’s title: “Criss Angel’s Believe.” The Cirque du Criss will have Angel performing at the Luxor for 10 years – 10 live shows a week, 46 weeks a year and he needs a good diet plan and a great fitness exercise training program to get in shape for it.</p>
<h2><strong> </strong>Criss Angel Reveals His Fitness Exercise Training Program</h2>

Unlike the belief that magicians are pasty, lonely kids fiddling about with hats and rabbits, Angel says he’s already started with his fitness training by playing sports such as baseball and football when he was six years old. Coming from a big Greek family, he and his brothers were kept all busy by their dad to stay out of trouble. He also got his fitness workout studying martial arts and boxing.</p>
<p>Until now, Angel has managed to stay in shape mostly without a fitness trainer’s help. This admired illusionist also confesses to including aerobics exercises in his fitness exercise training program. He does 30-45 minutes a day of cardio exercises which he will take out once he starts performing. “I’ll be doing what amounts to 90 minutes of cardio exercise onstage twice a day,” says Criss.</p>
<p>Although meditation exercises are important in what he does – being underwater for 24 hours or hanging from a helicopter with the body suspended by fishhooks, Angel says he doesn’t practice yoga or pilates exercises for meditation. He relies on what he calls “my own innate meditative state.”</p>
<p>For Angel, it is hardest to practice fitness and do exercise when he’s on the road. Some of the hotels he’s stayed in don’t have fitness machines and exercise equipments – not even free weights. So he improvises by doing calisthenics exercises between two chairs, does sit-up exercises with his feet hooked under the bed, push ups and crunch exercises – whatever time would allow him to do. The Vegas climate isn’t exactly conducive to outdoor exercises also so the Luxor, where he’s currently staying had built him a gym. Now he does his running exercises indoors!</p>
<h2>The Great Magician’s Diet Plan</h2>
<p>Angel’s diet plan is a classic high – protein, low-carb plan without a lot of measuring or fuss, heavy on lean meats like chicken and turkey. “If I’m going to eat nuts, I’ll pick something healthy like almonds. I love soda, but I don’t drink it, so I drink a lot of carbonated water instead. Once a week I eat whatever I want.”</p>
<p>And what about diet supplements? Well, Angel’s approach to this is equally simple. He says that in the past, he took in a lot of diet supplements – whey protein, creatine, fat burners but the wear and tear on his muscles and joints gave him injuries. He stopped including these diet supplements in his diet plan after blowing out his shoulder during a series of bench press exercises.  Now, his diet supplement’s nothing more than a multivitamin with some extra C.</p>

In fact, he praises his team for having a great fitness training staff to help him in his fitness exercise sessions.</p>
<h2>Tom Brady&#8217;s Exercise Program</h2>
<p>So what kind of fitness training exercise programs does this young athlete do? Well this quarterback says he exercises weekly to keep in shape. During game season, Tom’s fitness training involves weight lifting exercises four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. He also does 40 – 60 minutes of cardio exercises six days per week in order to improve his conditioning. During in season, Tom mixes up his fitness training with cardio exercises using a variety of fitness machines such as the stepper and precor. Aside from this, he also exercises through running.</p>
<p>And since this quarterback has never been blessed with great speed, to avoid pass rush during games, he does a lot of fitness exercises to improve his mobility. The NFL star does a lot of fitness exercise drills such as shuffling and sliding exercises plus quite a bit of jump rope to improve his quickness and shiftiness.</p>
<p>Athletes also need good footwork and eye coordination skills. Jumping rope exercise gives him this. Jumping rope is one of the simplest and yet one of the most effective exercises you can do. A 15-20 minutes jumping rope exercise will give you an unparalleled total body workout.</p>

<p>Kenneth Alan Florian (born May 26, 1976 in Westwood, Massachusetts) is a Peruvian American mixed martial artist with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. He is best known for his appearance on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show where he lost the middleweight final to Diego Sanchez. Florian currently fights as a lightweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is currently ranked by multiple MMA publications as the number-three lightweight in the world.</p>
<h2>Kenny Florian&#8217;s Diet</h2>
<p>His diet consists of Soy milk, Apple juice, Fruit, Protein powder, Glutamine, Post-workout recovery shake, Cottage cheese, Banana, Apple, Raw walnuts , Granola bar, Post-workout recovery shake, Chicken breast, Green vegetables, Yogurt.  He also includes Protein Powder, Glutamine, Multivitamin, Fish Oil, Joint Complex.  These diets gave him energy during exercises and fights.</p>
<h2>Fitness and Weight Loss Benefits of Martial Arts</h2>

<h2>Fitness training</h2>

To help increase his stamina and better chances at his opponents, they would train a couple of their own fighters to fight like his opponent.  Since every match have 3 five-minute rounds, every 2.5 minutes, the chosen opponent will be replaced by another fighter.  That way, for the duration of that 5-minute round, KenFlo would be able to exercise and develop a stamina to last all 3 rounds.</p>
<p>&#8220;1 1/2 to 2 months before any fight Kevin has me doing three rounds consisting of nine different exercises. Each round goes five to seven minutes followed by one minute of active rest. Some of the exercises we do include ground and pounding a heavy bag, punching, kicking and kneeing exercises, balance movements and takedown movements.&#8221; Kenny said to Bodybuilding.com<br />

He used to weigh 165 lbs in high school and was this tall and scrawny young man who was only slightly physically active with sports. He loved playing golf and baseball then but that was just about it. After graduating, he began to take fitness training seriously and embarked on a rigid exercise program. Having the right fitness trainer to guide him through his exercise, Zeb was able to easily develop and achieve a perfectly toned 250 lbs. body after three years.</p>
<h2>Zeb Atlas&#8217; typical day: Diet Plan and Exercise</h2>

<p>A typical day for Zeb starts with 35 to 45 minutes of cardio exercise on an empty stomach. He sometimes drinks black coffee to get his metabolism going as this helps burn the carbs a lot quicker. A typical cardio exercise means walking on treadmill on an incline. The treadmill is set at three and a half miles an hour.</p>
<p>Following this cardio exercise, Zeb takes on a breakfast diet plan which consists of eight or nine large egg whites, along with a cup of oatmeal with cinnamon. As his body type contains more muscles than normal, he needs all the protein he can get from his food. There are days when he does crave for pancakes with butter, though. He admits to indulging this once in a while, especially when he is not getting enough sleep (which is quite rare). But on the average, his best diet plan is to stick with eggs and oatmeal for breakfast.</p>
<p>By late morning, fitness buff Zeb then hits the gym and does his regular exercise programs. He doesn&#8217;t aim to lose weight, nor does he need rigid weight loss plan for obvious reasons. His exercise program is geared towards keeping his body muscles in symmetry. Although he spends most of his time at the gym, Zeb does his exercise body part by body part.</p>
<p>He would, for example, work on the chest, abs and stomach the first day, and then move to the biceps and the triceps after that. On the third day, he would allow himself to take a break, and then work on the exercise for his calves, thighs and legs on the fourth day. The logic behind this is that the muscles also need to take a break or a time off from working the exercise equipment.</p>
<p>All through out his day, Zeb would finish a glass of protein milkshake or take meal replacement and supplements as part of his diet plan. Because his body needs to at least burn some 3500 calories daily, he would still eat regular lunches and dinners containing chicken, steak or fish with brown rice, on top of the diet supplements.  He also advises to drink plenty of water.</p>
<h2>ONE WEEK OF FITNESS TRAINING</h2>
<p>Below is a brief rundown of how Zeb does his fitness exercise routines using the right fitness machines and exercise equipment. This exercise program should serve as a guide for those who would like to achieve a healthy body like this fitness model.</p>
<h3>Day 1: Working on the Chest, Abs &amp; Calves</h3>
<p>CHEST EXERCISE: Work on the flat bench and do three sets with at least eight or ten reps to warm up.  Then move on to incline dumbbell press for some upper body mass exercise. Do two sets with ten reps for this.  Next, get into the heavy weights. Using incline flies, do two sets with ten or twelve reps. Finish this off cable crossovers, three sets with 12-15 reps.</p>
<p>CALVES EXERCISE: Pick the seated calf raises exercise equipment with an approximate 15 reps per set. You should start feeling your calf muscles getting dense; with all the blood pumping into it and that should be good for growth and development. Then work your way with standing calf raises, doing some three to four sets and feel the contraction of the calves.</p>
<p>ABS EXERCISE:  Do some crunching. On the flat bench, do some knee raises or decline sit-ups. Do this for about four sets with 20 reps and you should feel the result very quickly.</p>
<h3>Day 2: Fitness Exercise for the Legs</h3>
<p>LEGS EXERCISE: Begin with a five-minute exercise on the bike, to warm you up and then move on to the leg press doing five sets with 12 reps. Follow this up with a squat routine for three sets. Use heavy and controlled reps and be sure to use it properly to avoid injury.  Dumbbell lunges are next and you should do about three sets of 10 reps. This helps with working the glutes and the quads. Finish this exercise program with hamstrings of 4 sets with 12 reps, and make sure to squeeze at the top.</p>

<p>Cardio exercise via walking only. Take the day off from any other fitness exercise activities.</p>
<h3>Day 4: Back and Shoulders Exercise</h3>
<p>BACK EXERCISE: Work with a wide grip to warm up. Do three sets with about 12 reps before moving on to the underhand grip.  Use three sets with 8 reps each. Next, do chins with bodyweight. You can feel your back effectively fatigued at this point, so there should be no more need for additional weight, two sets is just about enough. Finish this exercise with a seated row of three sets with 10 reps.</p>
<p>SHOULDERS EXERCISE: Begin with a neck press to keep the blood pumping and go for three sets with 10 reps. Follow this up with this seated dumbbell exercise equipment and do side raises. Next, use the rear delt movement set to work the muscles and tone it. Complete the routine with a heavy set of dumbbell shrugs.</p>
<h3>Day 5: Biceps and Triceps Exercise Program</h3>
<p>BICEPS EXERCISE:  It is best to begin with a mass standing barbell curls to warm up and then do the preacher curls next. You should begin to feel your biceps muscles becoming firmer.  Finish this off with concentration curls to complete the exercise routine.</p>
<p>TRICEPS EXERCISE: After the bicep workout, begin with the close grip bench press to work on your triceps, doing three sets with 10 reps. You should feel the back of your arms weigh in.  French press should immediately follow this, using straight bar and heavy weights and then finish this with a rope or a bar exercise routine.</p>
<h3>Day 6:  Spend the day without any kind of exercise.</h3>
<h3>Day 7: Do the same routine as Day 1.</h3>
<h2>Zeb Atlas&#8217; Fitness Advice</h2>
<p>This fitness model believes that if you are determined to keep this kind of lifestyle, it would be better to have a personal fitness trainer so that you will be able to enjoy a proper exercise program. If a fitness trainer is not possible, then at least train with a buddy who is also familiar with the exercise programs, as well as exercise equipment to use. Zeb trains with a fitness buddy.</p>

<p>Superset 2 Dumbbell Snatch</p>
<p>Assume an athletic position (knees bent, hips back), holding a dumbbell in one hand below your knees. In one movement, jump as you thrust the weight overhead, keeping the weight close to your body. Land softly. Aim for 5 reps with each arm.<br />
Cable Single-arm Row<br />
Grab the handle of a mid-pulley cable with your left hand, pulling your right arm back. Row the handle to your torso as you extend your right arm. Then resist the weight as you return your arms to the starting position. Do 10 reps with each arm.</p>
<p>Tuesday<br />
Superset 1 Dumbbell Squat<br />
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a pair of dumbbells at your sides. Keeping your back naturally arched, bend at the hips and knees and lower your body until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor. Push back up. Do eight to 12 reps.<br />
Swiss-ball Hamstring Curl<br />
Lie on the floor with your ankles on a Swiss ball, arms at your sides. Raise your hips so your body forms a straight line. Squeezing your glutes, pull the ball toward your butt with your legs. Then roll the ball back out. Do 12 reps.<br />
Superset 2 Dumbbell Stepup<br />
Holding heavy weights at your sides, lift one foot and place it on a bench. Then push your body up until your weight-bearing leg is straight and your other foot hangs off the bench. Return to the starting position. Do 10 reps with each leg.<br />
Dumbbell Calf Raise<br />
Hold a dumbbell in your left hand and stand on your left foot. Rest the instep of your right foot across the back of your left ankle. Hold onto something for balance. Rise on your toes as high as you can. Do 12 reps with one leg before repeating with the other leg. This is a good stability exercise.</p>

Lat Pulldown<br />
Sit at a lat-pulldown station and grab the bar with an overhand grip, hands slightly more than shoulder-width apart. Keeping your head and back straight, pull your shoulder blades down and then pull the bar to your chest. Let the bar rise. Do 10 reps.<br />
Superset 2 Dumbbell Single-arm Overhead Press<br />
Stand holding a dumbbell at shoulder height with your palm facing toward your body (as shown). Press the weight straight up and then slowly lower it. Do six to eight reps before repeating with the other arm.<br />
Dumbbell Single-arm Row<br />
Hold a dumbbell in your right hand, arm straight, and place your left hand and left knee on a bench. Use your upper-back muscles to pull the dumbbell up and back. Pause, then slowly lower the weight. Do 10 reps on each side.</p>
<p>Friday<br />
Superset 1 Single-leg Squat<br />
Stand on a bench. Hold your arms in front of you and flex your right ankle so your toes point up. Keeping your torso as upright as possible, bend your left knee and lower your body until your right heel touches the floor. Push up. Aim for five reps per leg.<br />
Single-leg Swiss-ball Leg Curl<br />
Perform as you do the Swiss-ball hamstring curl, but use only one leg. Lift your left leg and bend your knee toward your chest. With your right leg, pull the ball toward your butt and then push it back out. Aim for 10 reps with each leg.<br />
Superset 2 Dumbbell Side Lunge<br />
Stand holding dumbbells at your sides. With your left leg, take a wide step directly to the left. Bend your left knee and push your hips back until your left thigh is parallel to the floor. Then push back up. Do 10 reps in each direction.<br />
Unstable Jump Rope<br />
Skip rope for 45 seconds on a cushiony surface, such as a stretching mat. The instability will help strengthen your ankles. This is more of a fitness exercise program.</p>

<h3>Push Your Fitness Routine to your Limits</h3>
<p>To grow large, your body needs to become comfortable with heavy loads. &#8220;That&#8217;s why I had Taylor &#8216;taste&#8217; a much heavier weight,&#8221; says Yuam, who would stack a bar (or use dumbbells) with about 40 percent more weight than Lautner could normally lift 10 times. So if you can lift, say, 120 pounds 10 times, go with 170 pounds. Then, using a spotter, perform only the lowering half of lifts. (&#8220;It&#8217;s critical that your spotter be strong enough to lift the weight back up by himself,&#8221; Yuam says.) For a bench press, that means slowly lowering the weight to your chest. This lets your body adjust to the new weight even before you&#8217;re ready to raise it. The move is taxing on your muscles, though, so limit your &#8220;tasting&#8221; to 2 or 3 sets of 5 reps every other week.</p>
<h3>Vary Your Fitness and Your Routine</h3>
<p>Heavier isn&#8217;t always better. To maximize gains, Lautner regularly varies reps and the amount of weight he lifts. &#8220;If you want a balanced body, you have to do that,&#8221; says Yuam. The more your muscles are forced to adapt to a new routine, the more they grow. Instead of always doing 3 sets of 8 to 10 reps, for example, occasionally reduce the weight and shoot for 4 sets of 15 reps. A recent study in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found that men who regularly varied their rep counts and trained different muscle groups increased their bench strength by 28 percent and their leg-press strength by 43%.</p>
<h3><img class="size-full wp-image-5581 alignleft" title="Taylor-LAUTNER" src="http://www.howcelebsgetfit.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Taylor-LAUTNER.jpg" alt="Taylor-LAUTNER" width="373" height="242" />Tension Is Your Friend</h3>
<p>Free weights are best, but they have a drawback: Some parts of a lift are easier than others, so your muscles aren&#8217;t being worked consistently. That&#8217;s why Taylor Lautner often attaches giant rubber bands to a bar or dumbbell he&#8217;s going to lift, and then anchors the bands to the base of a power rack or a pair of heavy dumbbells. &#8220;The bands create more tension, making the lift harder and forcing your muscles to peak out at the top of the movement,&#8221; Yuam says. As a result, your body recruits more muscle fibers and works them harder, accelerating growth. Bands are available in most gyms.</p>
<h3>Reduce your Cardio</h3>
<p>&#8220;I was exercising so hard that I began to lose weight,&#8221; says Lautner. Sound great? Not if you normally have trouble building muscle mass. When it&#8217;s combined with weight training, cardio saps strength and limits muscle growth, especially if you spin your wheels for longer than 20 minutes before or after lifting, according to researchers at Stephen F. Austin State University, in Texas. So be careful not to overdo it. &#8220;If you&#8217;re trying to gain lean mass, focus on weight-lifting with the proper technique and the right plan,&#8221; Yuam says.</p>
<h3>Don&#8217;t Overwork Your Abs</h3>
<p>&#8220;A lot of guys hit their abs every time they hit the gym,&#8221; says Yuam. &#8220;That&#8217;s why so few of them have six-packs.&#8221; Your abs are like any other muscle group, and the same rule of muscle building applies: Don&#8217;t overwork them. Lautner targets his abs only 3 days a week, and does a combination of exercises to work his entire core. &#8220;The result is a balanced, more detailed musculature,&#8221; Yuam says. One of his favorite combinations is the hanging leg raise to reverse crunch, holding for 7 to 10 seconds. That works your whole core, preventing a muffin top.</p>
<h3>Step to the Side</h3>
<p>Most weightlifting exercises involve moving forward or backward; they don&#8217;t train your body to explode in other directions. Lautner needs a versatile body because he does his own stunts on the screen. (And you need one for everyday life. Your basketball crossover will be lousy without it.) The solution, Yuam says, is to perform side-to-side exercises in addition to traditional lifts. These boost your ability to move in any path. For example, work a few sets of lateral hops and lunges into every leg workout.</p>
<h3>Recovery is just as important</h3>
<p>Training and eating are only two-thirds of the muscle-building equation. &#8220;The other third is recovery,&#8221; says Lautner. He takes every third day off and never works out more than 5 days a week. &#8220;If you constantly pound your muscles, they&#8217;ll never have time to repair.&#8221;</p>
<h2>Best Diet For Best Fitness Results</h2>
<p>Taylor himself said the following: &#8220;Jordan Yuam is really talented. He helped me a lot with this process. He&#8217;s always on set, like, shoving food in my mouth. Literally, I&#8217;d be talking to somebody and he comes up with a plate. He wakes me up in the morning. He&#8217;s like, &#8216;Take this protein shake.&#8217; I&#8217;m like, &#8216;I&#8217;m sleeping.&#8217; Yeah, I have a lot of people to thank.&#8221;</p>
<h3>Eat Healthy But Eat A Lot</h3>
<p>Your hard work begins in the gym, but your kitchen plays an equally big role in your transformation. &#8220;How much you&#8217;ll eat depends on how much you want to weigh,&#8221; says nutrition expert Alan Aragon, M.S. Use his simple steps in the following three slides to add as much as 10 pounds of new muscle next year.</p>
<h3>Set Your Daily Calorie Goal</h3>
<p>goal weight x (workout hours per week + 9.5) = daily number of calories</p>
<p>Example: Say you&#8217;re 180 pounds and want to add 10 pounds of muscle. Your goal weight, then, is 190. If you plan to work out 3 hours a week, do this: Add 3 + 9.5, and then multiply the sum (12.5) by your goal weight of 190. Result: 2,375. That&#8217;s your daily calorie goal.</p>
<h3>Set Daily Nutritional Goals</h3>
<p>Use this key to figure out how many grams of protein, fat, and carbohydrate you should eat each day.</p>
<p>goal weight = grams of protein<br />
half your goal weight = grams of fat</p>
<p>daily calories &#8211; [( protein grams x 4) + ( fat grams x 9)] / 4 = grams of carbs</p>
<p>Example: For your goal weight of 190, you&#8217;ll eat 190 grams of protein and 95 grams of fat. For carbs: Multiply 190 by 4 ( to yield 760), and 95 by 9 (to yield 855). Add them together: 1,615. Now subtract that from your 2,375 daily calories, to yield 760. Divide that by 4. Result: 190. That&#8217;s your carb goal, in grams.</p>
<h3>Balance Your Meals</h3>
<p>Determine how many meals you&#8217;ll eat each day, and then break down your total allotment into equal portions. &#8220;It doesn&#8217;t matter if you eat three meals a day or six,&#8221; says Aragon. &#8220;As long as you stay within your guidelines, you&#8217;ll see results.&#8221;</p>
<p>At first glance some of these strategies seem different then what the traditional trainers and dieticians recomend. Most recomend eating 6 times a day. Here they tell us it does not matter if you eat 3 or 6 times a day, it just matters that you eat approximately the same number of calories each day. The key is to eat 5 to 6 times a day if you want to lose weight, BUT if you want to gain weight or bulk up, then balancing your calaries is more important. Clearly Jordan Yuam Taylor Lautner&#8217;s persoanl trainer and owner of Jordan&#8217;s Virtual Fit Club in Los Angeles knows how to get the desired results. Great job Jordan Yuam!</p>

So if I have a 7 a.m. call time (start shooting a movie), I&#8217;m doing my hour long workout program starting at 6 a.m. As it gets into the week, the workouts usually get pushed back, but as long as I get three or four in a week, I&#8217;m fine, so I don&#8217;t buy exercise equipment.”</p>

Although there have been reports of marital problems between David and his wife, we hope that everything works out for the best! People following these diet tips eat only uncooked, unheated, unprocessed, and organic plant based foods. Well&#8230;food that has not been heated above a certain temperature. It varies within the different raw food philosophies, but the end range temperature is in between 92oF to 118oF (33°C to 48°C). Meals consist mainly of organic and raw fruits, vegetables, sprouted seeds and grains, sea vegetables, nuts, and seeds, since they believe cooking destroys precious vitamins and minerals. For instance to eat grains, instead of cooking them, they are soaked. Raw foodies believe their uncooked foods contain essential enzymes, which the body needs to digest foods completely. This is their healthy diet to help lose weight.<br />

<p>&#8220;Boxing involves completely different muscles and a lot more endurance than sword fighting, which I quickly realized!&#8221; laughs Franco.  James decided that he needed a mentor to help get himself into shape for the movie.  He found one in Macka Foley.  Macka is a veteran boxing trainer and ex-fighter from Hollywood&#8217;s Wild Card Gym.  &#8220;I think the fights in the film represent the three stages of Jake&#8217;s development,&#8221; Franco summarizes. &#8220;In the first one, he&#8217;s very headstrong, a wild kind of brawler without much skill or discipline.</p>

By the second one, he&#8217;s still very willful but he&#8217;s got a bit more spirit, he can take more. But then he really develops his skills and his tenacity and his devotion, and he is a different person in the ring as well as outside of it by that third fight. And it was very important to get that across, in the physical as well as the emotional, so that the audience can feel him changing.&#8221; &#8220;His body transformed. He was just a skinny kid when I got him, but then he was all cut up and could do 300 push-ups. If I could get half the fighters I train to work this hard, I might be in the Hall of Fame one day.&#8221;  James Annapolis workout entailed rounds of sit-ups, push-ups, speed bag, heavy bag and jump rope. He never looked for any fast diets or any natural diet pills, he just worked hard at the gym. <h2>The Naked Truth About Dieting</h2>
<p>Bruce Willis has been dieting for nude sex scenes using old celebrity weight loss tricks. The Hollywood actor wants to look perfect when he bares-all on the big screen. Bruce said: &#8220;I have a few naked scenes so I want to look good. But I am not going to be a size zero.&#8221; So there he went, according to monstersandcritics.com, embarked on a gruelling training regime to turn his middle-aged spread into a buff body. Miracle diet or the latest burn the fat diet? That remains to be seen.</p>
<h2>Fitness at Once</h2>
<p>There is no one fitness rule for the aging actor staring in an action movie, said celebrity fitness trainer Ricardo Macedo for entertainment.timesonline.co.uk, other than the fact that it’s going to be grueling. “With these men, because of their age, their metabolism has slowed down, they’ve put on weight and their body fat percentage has increased. You should hear some weight loss testimonials from these guys,” he says. “So, they have to do a lot more training in the gym than the younger guys and I don&#8217;t mean doing face exercises. Past a certain age you can&#8217;t find any simple ways to lose weight.”</p>
<p>It all depends, of course, on the shape of the actor, and what “look” he’s going for on screen, Macedo continues. “Someone like Bruce Willis needs to do more cardio exercise work, just for general fitness and reduced body fat.”</p>
<p>The biggest fitness myth facing our stars, says Macedo, is that they have to work only on the body parts (say doing exercise programs for abs) that’ll be exposed on camera. “Unfortunately, to have a six-pack you need a very low fat percentage,” he says”. In order to achieve that, you need a full workout including even back exercise machines.”</p>
<p>Gunnar Peterson, celebrity workout trainer, knows all this too well, as he has been helping Bruce Willis with his training recently giving him exercise advice, and declared to ifitandhealthy.com: “you don’t see many in his age bracket knocking it out at the gym with his dedication. He does hour-long cardio exercise and strength sessions nearly every day for three months before filming. On set he works out during lunch. He is constantly on the exercise ball.”</p>
<p>Peterson was impressed: “His thing is being able to do what the role requires.” Though you might guess that once stars hear “that’s a wrap,” they exhale and head for the sofa, Peterson says Willis kept up his routine. “What if the director decides to reshoot?” Eventually, Bruce Willis may let himself go a little from the exercise ball routines. “It’s not natural to stay completely shredded year-round.”</p>
